What is it?
A ten hour New Play Reading Marathon that benefits Process Theatre’s 2007-08 Season.

How can I be involved?
There are two ways you can participate: as a reader and as an audience member.

Being a reader means you will be in one group which will read about four plays over the course of the day. First you need to contact Process by phone, email, or visit our website for your pledge sheet and more information. It only takes $25 of other people’s money to start. It is just like a walk-a-thon, where you get people to pledge $1 for every mile that you run/walk, but in this case they pledge the money for every hour (plus one) that you read: $1/hr for ten hours equals $10 pledged. The minimum is $25 but the maximum is however much you want to raise for Process. What’s the catch? Well, the person who raises the most money will win a prize package valued over $300 with free tickets to theatres all over Atlanta, including Process, OnStage Atlanta, Theatre Decatur, Aurora Theatre, and many others. The prize packages will also include gift certificates to Altanta businesses like Applause for Kids! But don’t feel like you have to raise $1000 single-handedly . . . for every $25 that you raise, your name goes in a hat (so for $75 you have your name in three times) and the person who is drawn at the end of the day wins a second prize package. You will be assigned a part ahead of time. On the 12th you will come in with any and all of the texts that you have, but don’t worry if you have none– we will have copies too.

To be an audience member you just need to show up at any time during the day. Price for admission is just $5 for the whole day!!! And as an extra incentive, we will have a drawing at the end of the day and one audience member or reader will win a prize package with free tickets to theatres all over Atlanta.

Come join us for the readings of more than 10 of the hottest new plays around. All of them have never been produced, but we gaurantee you will WISH you could be in them!!!

Pastries, coffee, snacks, sandwiches and soda will be provided throughout the day.
